DISCOVER

DOC Douro Tinto

The red wine Dona Matilde is produced from Old Vines with local grape varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela. It is a wine with a ruby color, with a complex aroma, initially to cherry and strawberry followed by mint, fig and spices. In the mouth it is soft and smooth but with plenty of volume and structure. The wine shows hints of strawberry throughout the taste. Long aftertaste.

“A great year in Douro (2011), this wine also confirms. Balance and lightness, easy to harmonize with food” – Fernando Melo, Revista Evasões, abril 2016

“A red wine ready to drink but that can also be kept, confirming the virtues of being launched late (2011).” – Revista de Vinhos, abril 2016

“Nicely balanced, this tightly wound Tinto shows good fruit, moderately ripe tannins, and a respectable finish. It has more grip on the finish than I anticipated, and it is filled with flavor. Elegant, seriously styled, and tasty, this is a nice deal.” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, September 2020.
