Made from grapes grown in Quinta Dona Matilde's old vineyard, planted over 80 years ago with some 30 traditional Douro grape varieties. The grapes were hand-picked into 25 kg crates, and the bunches were sorted on arrival at the winery. Fermented and aged for 18 months in stainless steel vats. Deep ruby in colour, it shows an intense aroma, firm yet elegant tannins, good acidity and a full-bodied palate. Alcohol: 14.5%.
